Ally Piper
Founder and Head Trainer
Ally is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer in the Sutherland Shire, specialising in Puppy Preschool, puppy training and dog behaviour.
With over 30 years of experience in the animal care industry and 26 years running Puppy Preschool classes, Ally has helped thousands of puppies and their families build strong foundations from the very beginning.
Ally is a Graduate of the Victoria Stilwell Academy of Dog Training, a CPDT-KA Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. Her extensive experience in Australia and the UK gives her a holistic, science-based approach to puppy training, behaviour, diet and health.
As the founder of Paws Plus Consulting, Ally runs Puppy Preschool in Kirrawee, Sutherland Shire, puppy and dog training classes, private in-home consultations and therapy dog assessments. She is passionate about helping humans better understand their dogs and showing families just how clever dogs can be when we communicate through kindness and positive, force-free training.
Ally lives in the Sutherland Shire with her husband, two teenagers and rescue dogs Harvey and new puppy Bennett.
Outside of Paws Plus Consulting, Ally and her Rottweiler X Harvey volunteer as a pet therapy team, visiting nursing homes, schools and organisations across the local community.
Ryan Jones
Puppy Preschool Educator
Ryan is an experienced dog trainer and Puppy Preschool trainer in the Sutherland Shire, with over 15 years of experience training world-class Guide Dogs using positive reinforcement methods.
Alongside his work with Guide Dogs, Ryan brings his extensive knowledge of dog behaviour, learning and communication to our Puppy Preschool and puppy training classes in Kirrawee, Sutherland Shire.
Ryan specialises in not only training dogs but also teaching humans how to better understand and communicate with their dogs. His patience, clear communication and passion for positive, force-free dog training have seen him become highly respected within the industry and appear on television networks across NSW.
As part of the Paws Plus Consulting team, Ryan brings a sense of fun to every Puppy Preschool and dog training class. Laughs, learning and new friends are always guaranteed!
When he's not hanging out with a four-legged friend, you'll find Ryan out on a long cycle or creating memories with his young family.
Andie Jones
Group Class Instructor
Andie is one of the friendly faces leading our puppy and dog training classes in the Sutherland Shire at Paws Plus Consulting. With a strong passion for canine behaviour, learning and guardian education, she brings extensive knowledge and enthusiasm to every class.
While Andie also teaches Puppy Preschool classes, her main role is leading our Puppy Primary dog training classes in Kirrawee, Sutherland Shire, where she excels at helping dogs and their humans take their training to the next level. From building reliable basic manners to developing more advanced behaviours, Andie loves helping families strengthen communication and teamwork with their dogs.
After completing a Bachelor of Biotechnology and working in laboratory roles, Andie realised her true passion was working with dogs and the people who love them. She went on to study a Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training through the Delta Institute while gaining extensive hands-on experience across the animal industry.
Andie's experience includes canine nutrition education, dog daycare, dog walking, pet sitting and volunteering with the Animal Welfare League.
Using positive reinforcement and force-free dog training methods, Andie is passionate about helping guardians better understand their dogs and build strong, trusting relationships. She especially loves those breakthrough moments when owners realise just how intelligent and capable their dogs truly are.
At home, Andie lives with her husband Michael and their rescue Greyhound, Pepper. Outside of dog training, she enjoys collecting houseplants, scrapbooking and watching scary movies.
Rose
Puppy Preschool Settler & Fun Coordinator
Rose is a bright bubbly high school student with a love of all creatures but in particular, canines.
You will see Rose around at Puppy Preschool on hand to take your pup off for a walk around the store when either you or your pup are needing a break and helps out at Playgroup.
Roses kind and warm disposition has all puppies feeling at ease. She has an amazing connection with them and is brilliant at reading canine body language.
Outside of school and Paws Plus, Rose loves ballet and is a volunteer for Taronga Zoo. The dedication and commitment to even getting to the initial orientation at the zoo is one to be admired, let alone the travel to and from.
Rose now has regular shifts at the zoo on weekends and in the holidays.
We love having her inquisitive and bubbly personality around we love helping her learn more about dog science and the benefits of positive training.
Izzy
Puppy Settler and Snack Leader
Izzy is one of the friendly faces you’ll see assisting at our Puppy Preschool and Playgroup sessions. As our resident Puppy Settler and Snack Leader, Izzy helps ensure classes run smoothly by keeping things calm, organised, and of course—making sure the treats are flowing!
Currently a senior high school student, Izzy has a natural way with animals and a calm presence that helps even the most nervous puppies feel safe and supported.
Outside of Paws Plus, Izzy is a passionate horsewoman. She takes regular group classes at the stables and competes in both jumping and dressage with her three horses.
We’re so lucky to have her gentle nature and helping hands on the team!
Kim
Social Media Manager
Kim is the creative force behind our social media, capturing all the fun, learning, and wagging tails you see online. From filming puppy adventures to editing videos and creating engaging content, she loves bringing the Paws Plus story to life through her camera lens.
When she's not creating content for us, Kim also works alongside Dan at IPET Store, helping bring all of his creative (and very funny!) filming ideas to life. So, if you pop into the store, there's a good chance you'll spot her friendly face behind the camera, getting creative and capturing the action.
Outside of work, Kim loves travelling, getting lost in a good book, and spending time at home with her three very spoiled cats.
