Puppy Primary
Stage 2 - Face to Face Training
For all dogs 16 weeks and over
Our Puppy Primary School is designed for puppies and adolescent dogs aged 16 weeks and over, focusing on solidifying foundation behaviours and introducing new, practical life skills.
This course is ideal for those who have completed Puppy Preschool or our Fast Track Program, and are ready to take the next step in their puppy training journey.
We will reinforce and proof basic key behaviours & introduce new skills to help your pup navigate the real world:

Urban Paws
Stage 3 - Face to Face - Working in community
For all dogs 20 weeks and over
Take your training beyond the classroom and into the real world with our Mastering Urban Environments course — a practical, hands-on program designed for puppies and adolescent dogs who have completed our Puppy Primary program.
Over three weeks, we’ll work together to build confidence and calm focus in everyday public settings — such as local streets, parks, shopping strips, and cafés — preparing your dog to thrive in busy environments.
We’ll choose a training location that suits the group, often based in your own suburb within the Sutherland Shire, so your dog learns in the same environment you’ll regularly walk, shop, and socialise.
This course focuses on:
✔️ Loose leash walking in real-life, high-distraction environments
✔️ Polite passings of dogs, people, prams etc
✔️ Maintaining engagement around noise, movement, and distractions
✔️ Calm behaviour during café stops (settling under tables, staying relaxed)
✔️ Building handler confidence in public training scenarios
Eligibility:
✔️ For dogs who have completed Puppy Primary at Paws Plus
✔️ Dogs must be fully vaccinated
✔️ Not suitable for reactive dogs (please ask about private training options)
Course Duration:

Our in-home consultations are tailored to suit your dog’s unique needs and your household. From early puppy training to behaviour challenges like reactivity or anxiety, we help bring calm, confidence, and clarity into your everyday life.
Using force-free, science-based methods, Ally Piper provides expert guidance backed by over a decade of experience and recommendations from Sydney vets. Our methods are also recognised by major pet insurance providers for their safety and effectiveness.
Most families find that one session is all they need — we don’t sell packages, because every dog learns differently. Our goal is to give you practical, lasting strategies from the very first visit.
