Stage 1 

Puppy Pre-school

Puppys 9 - 16 Weeks

Puppy Pre-school is essential in setting your puppy up with skills for life.

​

At Paws Plus our motto is fun while learning.

We understand that this can be a stressful time where new pet parents are often overwhelmed with information.

​

In our school we break it down, keep it simple and guarantee laughs!

Pups will not only learn basic behaviors, but ensure they learn to socialise responsibly while also being able to practice calm around other dogs.

​

We use the latest force free science based methods and all classes are taught by a certified and qualified trainer.

​

Our course is 4 &1/4 hours  and runs over 3 weeks and includes a 15 min individual phone consultation to be used at any time prior to, during, or after the course for up to 6 months.

​

Course is run with a minimum 2 staff so you feel supported and empowered setting your puppy and yourself up to succeed.

​

Course topics include but are not limited to:​

  • Sit, Stay, Come, Drop, Look, Touch

  • Biting

  • Jumping up

  • Enrichment

  • Toilet Training

  • Diet and Health

  •  Confidence building games

  • Destructive Behaviours

  • Responsible Socialisation

  • Firecracker/ Thunderstorm desensitisation

Stage 2

Puppy Primary

Puppys 4  Months and over

At Puppy Primary we will be building on skills learnt at Preschool.

We will be proofing behaviours such as:​

  • Sit

  • Stay

  • Come

  • Look,

  • Touch

​​

and learning new behaviours such as:​

  • Leave it

  • Solid Recall

  • Middle

  •  On The Mat

we will also  foundations for Loose Leash Walking along with practicing socially appropriate greetings with other dogs and humans.

Given this course is limited to 3 human canine teams we work together to reach everyones goals over the course and customise as needed. 

 

All pups must be fully vaccinated to attend. 

​

This course is not appropriate for reactive dogs, for this we recommend an in home consultation. 

4hr course over 3 consecutive weeks

NB : To attend Puppy Primary we recommend you have attended either

Puppy Pre-school or our Fast Track Program so as to not be left behind.

Fast Track 

Missed Puppy Pre-Scool but would like to attend Primary School. We have you covered with our  Fast Track Sessions

Our Fast Track training session is a 1 on 1 session for those that missed Puppy Pre-School.  Designed specifically to get you ready for Primary School ready.

​

A 1 on 1 session with Ally or Ryan, where we get your mechanics and communication skills up to speed so your canine has a thorough understanding of the basics. 


We give you time to practice then we fast track you straight to Puppy  Primary School. 
Sessions run for  45 mins and are held at IPET Store Kirrawee. 
 

Cost : $89

For a 45 min session.

In-Home Consultations

Any Stage - Any Age

In home behaviour consultations are tailored to suit individual family and dog needs.

 

While dogs can bring endless joy to our lives, certain habits can create stress. From early-stage puppy training to enrichment tools and understanding your dogs needs, this is the perfect package to create harmony within the household.

We can help with:​

  • Seperation anxiety

  • Undesirable behaviours

  • Pulling on the lead

  • Basic Behaviours

  • Jumping 

  • Biting 

  •  Reactivity

  • Toilet Training

  • Destructive behaviours

​

Initial in home Consultation includes training plan and follow up one week post consultation via email or phone.

​

Cost : $259

Follow up Consultation if needed - per hour for up to 6 months. 


Cost : $149


 

 

NB: Should consultation be 12km or more outside of 2229 additional travel fee applies
